
I then put them back together and tried to fit the KA24DE one on and was surprised it was just off by a little.

After that I took it off and marked where I needed to drill/slot bracket.

here is the bracket drilled/slotted out.

Once it was on it fit great but needed some more adjust-ability. The bracket was hitting the alternator and wouldn't slide freely. I could have ground down a little of the alternator but chose to grind down bracket instead as seen below.


Below is final fit . The large bolt holding the rb20 alternator to the engine was too short. I still had the KA24DE one so I tried and it fit. The only issue I had was that the bolt had a flat washer and a lock washer on it. With both on it looked like the alternator belt could touch the bolt. The lock washer was totally flat anyway so I took some channel locks and pulled it off of the bolt. Once everything was tight I checked clearance of belt hooked up wire and started it up. Ran great checked voltage and charging great as well.
