Ka24de - 89.5mm x 97mm - Is this stroked and bored?

Hey guys,

I just picked up a spare block to start building to replace my hella-knockin block that I got with my 240... I took it apart and took my digital caliper (engineer's micrometer basically) and read the bore and bottom of the stroke and top of the stroke. (or rather bottom of stroke to top of block)

The numbers I got were as follows.

Bore - 89.5mmStroke - 97mm

Is this block stroked and bored (mildly) I look online and I see that places sell the oversized pistons/rings for bored blocks but I see nothing on stroking to 97mm.

1. Please let me know if this is bored and stroked2. Please let me know if the 89.5mm cylinder wall is to accommodate for rings on a 89mm piston.3. The pistons are dished completely. Very basic looking...could these be aftermarket? I guess if it is bored than it would be aftermarket.

As soon as I know for sure...I can order my replacement parts.

Thanks

i don't see how you got the 97mm stroke, but stock stroke is 96mm.

as for bore, it was probably bored to clean the cylinder walls of any scuffs or thing like that, i guess it was bored .020 over since stock bore is 89mm.(am probably wrong on the overbore though, as far as how much it was overbored)

I took the stroke measurement with a digital caliper from top of deck to top of piston at bottom of stroke.(bdc)

I was trippin on it. =)

I have further concluded that it is a .020 overbore giving a 89.5mm diameter.

It has some scuffing (barely any) but I'm going to have it honed clean.

Thanks

Dustin
