Okay all you KA24DE gurus. Heres what I've got. 73 510 with a KA24DE twin cam. My issue is that it runs like a scalded rat as long as it's cool. The minute the motor goes over 210 and I accelerate it stutter steps pretty bad and if I keep driving it, it will eventually stall and won't start and run again till it gets below 190. Checked fuel and were good there. Checked injectors, good. Not well versed in these motors as I came over from the Subaru crowd into the 510. What am I missing. Like I said, in the morning she'll run all day long, in the afternoon, she acts up. Ideas??

Nope, stock motor, it has about 70,000 on it and runs great. I was thinking temp sensors. There are what, two of them on the 240 motor? Coolant and.....??

looks clean..i notice the lovly coilover set up:)..anyways..one sensor is rite by the inlet of your top heater hose...check to see if that one is reading a signal..or just replace it...allso..check you vacume lines around your intake..if i remember my buddys being corect..vacume leaks are notorius on the ka24de's..good luck man.

Are you using the stock ecu and are all the emissions hooked up?You could possibly run the ecu diagnostics and find the culprit....I'm asuming you are using the stock harness so you would be using the stock ecu.

Gona be a CLT sensor. Its a 35 dollar sensor for FRsport.com, theres only one of them on the car that goes to the ECU. The other CLT sensor is a single wire that connects to the gage cluster inside the car. I would check your wiring to the CLT sensor first before you swap the sensor itself out.

Also run the self diagnostic for the ECU and see what you get. Check the Tech articles for a how-to on that.
