As the topic said...... help me out please. Things done... 1) new water pump 2) checked thermostat 3) checked for air pockets in radiator. Am i missing anything? I did those things and it still overheats. need my 240 driving again!!! driving my wife's civic isnt cutting it. My next option is changing the radiator, then complete engine and transmission. By the way if you have a ka24de engine and transmission in the NorthEast region in working condition send me a price. thx.

What I would do is thisLet the car get hot and touch the lower hose. If the lower hose is cold, then your thermostat is shot. If both hoses are warm then I would do a radiator flush. If you got a air compressor I would blow out the heater core. You do this by removing the two hoses that goto the heater core on the fire wall and blow out on one side. You'd be suprised how much crap come out.If that doesnt work then I would get a new radiator and silicon hoses'

but thats me

How have you bled it?I've found that parking on an incline and running the car with the radiator cap seems to bleed it the best, and you keep pouring water into it with a funnel. Then turn off the car and put the cap back on.

Have you gotten the system pressurized to check for leaks yet?

how exactly did u check the thermostat? put it in boiling h2o and see if it opens? the best way i have found to fill nissan cooling systems is with a vacuum filler. but without a compressor, the fsm does have a procedure that involves "burping" the system. i like a funnel with a rad cap fitting on the bottom, matco and snap on sell them as spill free funnels, they work well at the dealership when i can't for some reason use the vacuum filler. or worst case scenario is ur headgasket blown?? if combustion gasses are entering the cooling system it will cause instant air pockets.

stock fan or power fan? if its power you might have it wired backwards pushing air away from the radiator.

See if you can find somebody with a infared temp gun. Check inlet and outlet temps. I think you should see about 40-60 deg diff. I have found many radiators to be stopped up in the center part of the radiator. I would go ahead and pull the radiator and take to a shop and have it cleaned. If not you will be replacing head gasket soon.

You could try bypassing your heatercore. I lost one engine to that, and almost lost my rebuilt engine. By process of elimination, that was the culprit. I have another waiting to swap it out, but since I live in Katy, Texas, it RARELY gets used at all...

Just take out one side of the hose on the little elbow and loop it into the other hose leading into the heater core. If your car stops overheating you've found your problem. If it hasn't then you might have a serious problem...

heater core? Is it really needed and where is it located? My 95' overheats too, 4 out of 6 times that I drive it in a day.
