I have a 93' 240sx and I'm looking for a complete turbo kit for my KA240DE and all I seem to find are kits for the Altima. I'm curious if this is the same motor and if the kit will bolt on? Any answers you could provide would be of great help!

There are a few turbo kits that I can find.

Read the turbo FAQ sticky at the top. There are some links at the bottom of the page to a few.

the motor is a KA24DE. and yes it is the same motor that is in an altima. But Altima are FWD so the motor is mounted transversely. a kit designed for a transversely mounted motor is not going to fit a normal mounted motor.

Nsport makes 3 turbo kits for the 240, stages 1-3. Stage 1 is $3,899, or atleast they were last I checked.

Look into NSPORT, FMAX or XS Engineering.

You're pretty much limited to those three for a bolt-on affair. Outside of those three, you have to do some customizing.

hmmm. in your post you say you have 245 rwhp. but in your signature you say 255. ??? Seems kinda fishy to me.

Also at 7 psi w/ no extra fuel you are running 100% duty cycle on those injectors. Which will kill you in the end.I know for a fact that on my car @ 5 psi i'm hitting 14.2:1 a/f ratio which is too lean for my tastes. I can't imagine 7 psi.

Iknow that was my bad i didnt realize i made a typo on the signiture. the car is making 245 @ 7psi , and yes the injectors are working at ALMOST at 100% duty cycle im getting ready to put the big injectors just waiting on the fule rails.umb qusetion though. when i had the car running last week there was no check engine light , but this morning after 7 days of driving it , the light came onj. is that normal for a boosted ka with stock computer ? pls enlighten me . this is the first time i actually worked on nissan and im surprise to what this thing can do!! long live the Ka's:)

Just for the record, 14/1 A/F is rich. Power is made at 12.5/1. If you want safe then I'd suggest 13/1, but 14 is to rich for my taste.

No your light shouldn't be on. I would check your codes first. Go to http://www.240sx.org and then go to the faq and it will tell you how to check the codes.

oi138, are you saying that a stage 1 Nsport kit would be unsafe at 7 psi?I really don't want to blow my motor. My guess is I would be satisfied with the power of a stage 1 kit, but I might go stage 2 if having the bigger injectors is safer. Thanks for the responses guys. And Ben I definetly will drop you a line when I'm ready!

No. I never said that.I was refering to mr boost who in his signature said he was running 7 psi with no fuel upgrades.nsport kit comes with a 7 or 8:1 fpr so it does add more fuel.Mr boost was not.Bigger injectors is always safer. Running more fuel pressure than the stock injectors are supposed to see will make your injectors fail earlier than if you were running stock fuel pressure. But i wouldn't worry about it too much because i'm sure ALOT of people have run turbos on stock injectors with rrfpr's and had no problems.

I think F-Max makes a kit for the Altima. Their site seems to be down, or no longer exists, so I can't check...

I know there are many turbo kits out there but i am having some trouble finding one for my 95 240. In fact, im having trouble finding parts period, mabye its just where i live. I know that there is not going to be as many parts available as a civic but i should have more luck. If anyone could let me know where i could buy a turbo for my 95 i would appreciate it. Also i need a new valve cover, i like the red ones.

You're basically limited to NSPORT, FMAX, or XS ENGINEERING turbo kits for the S14 240sx, unless you want to do your own custom turbo kit.

where to get parts: intornetquestion: why are you replacing your valve cover, and please dont say "because it is ugly"/"it is scratched" and don't replace it with a red valve cover because those "ones" are just yours painted and as long as you are doing that stick a Silvia and Powered by JDM on there as well. Sorry if I have offended you but I am an a** it is nothing personal.

Is your stage two turbo kit USED? And does it include the JWT ecu or not?

Yes the kit is used but only for three months. I have the JWT ECU, ford cobra MAF, 50 lbs injectors, JWT fuel rail, aero-equip fuel pressure regulator and in cabin auto meter fuel gauge. T3/T4 turbo, tial waste gate, HKS by pass valve, F-Max manifold and down pipe, oil feed line, and the modified oil pan. You will need to buy your own piping from F-max or have it custom done. I will sell the basic kit without the regulator or gauge if your interested, Email me at [email protected]
