im in the process of pulling out a blown KA, and im needing to know about this vacuum hose "web" so to speak.

on the back of the cylinder head, theres like, a plate with a bunch of rubber to metal vacuum hose connections. IIRC theyre ONLY for the EGR/emissions stuff. if thats the case i dont need them.

i just need confirmation.

Yes, they are EGR stuff. I know it cuz mine failed emission, so I had to clean them and it passed.

excellent. just had to make sure. i re-read through the emissions/egr write up and it didnt mention it, i dont think.

where did you find the thread that says you can take all that out and dont need them?

^ If emmisions are hard where you are then I would keep it all, unless you have a "hook up"

So I from IL and all cars 95 and down dont need emissions so I took all the emissions things out of my buddys car with the EGR stuff and just made a block off plate for where the EGR was coming out off the intake mani...

Man, I envy you. 10 years and oler cars have to run at 15mph and 30mph and they check emission. Newer cars just get the sticker right away. It's been that way about 5-6 years or so.
