ok I just bought a 1990 240 Sx, the guy I bought it off of brought it to me on a trailer, then I pulled it in to the garage, about an hour later I looked under the car a huge puddle of oil on the floor. . at least 2 or 3 ft. in diamiter. I dont know were it is leaking from. I dont kow if it is a simple as an oil pan gasket, or if it could be a sending unit, or if it could be a rear main seal. not coming from the front. I cant see the back. if some one could help please!

well i've worked on your car and for everyone i have a strong feeling that it is not the oil pan gasket its leaking towards the back of the engine so i figured it could be the rear main seal o and for some info that he left out. its a 90 piggy with a ka24e sohc just throwin that out there. he's new to this whole nico club i led him to it

Were you able to confirm that it's the oil?

Easiest thing to do - jack the car up, clean everything best you can, then wait.

If it can create a 2-3 ft oil puddle (whether it's oil, ps fluid, transmission fluid, whatever), then you shouldn't have a hard time seeing where it is leaking, then trace back from there.

There's really no better way to do it, than to just do it.
