KA24 into a s15?

I was wondering last night before i went to bed if you can put a sr20 into 240 would you be able to put a ka24 into a s15?
me n my friend found some cheap s15's in japan and we thought if it would be as easy to put a ka into a s15 as easy it is to put a sr into a 240?

Has anyone tried this before or know if it will work?

We live in california and thought it would be sweet to drive around in a s15 in california and it should pass smog if its a ka right?

It would be the opposite of doing an S15 SR swap into an S13 or S14 240sx... Smog wouldn't be as big of an issue as getting it titled would be. Look at the trouble people go through to get skylines.

can it be done? yes, quite easily, actually. does it make sense? no. and the only issue isn't smog, there are crash tests that need to be done, then the whole battling of the govt thing. you obviously have the time, since you're dreaming up dumb s*** like this, but you don't have the money or the resources to legally obtain and title an s15.
