Is it possible for the KA24 to be bored 60 thousands over? .060 rather than your traditional 20-40 thousandths? Thanks in advance.

The problem is finding pistons etc to fit. Check with your local machine shop and they can tell you the max you can bore to. Then see if you can find parts.

You may want to post this in the KA24E / KA24DE forum. They cover just the engine

personally i'd be afraid of the cylinder walls being too thin, but I can be paranoid. if you have the balls, i don't see a reason why it couldn't be done. i haven't seen (m)any 0.060" over pistons while browsing for parts, but there may be some out there.

i would stick with .020 or .040 over.

I've got my KA bored to 60 over and I have a set of Wiseco pistons to put in as well. Still needs to be assembled but from what I've been told it should easily be able to handle that big of.
