Hello everyone,

Is the KA24 crank pulley interchangeable with CA18 unit? Or would it bolt up to the crank?

I like the KA24's accessory pulley bolt-on design and would like to transfer it over to my CA18, hence I can't afford one of those cool Australian harmonic balancers

No!
Going by that, I doubt it would work the other way around either.

ahh...yes, seen that as well... :(
it's just that I read on some local forums about someone swapping over a ka24 pulley to the ca18 for purposes of installing a trigger wheel.

anyone care to explain why? from the pictures it looks like just a simple bolt up?

I can also consider an sr20 or rb25 pulley, as long as it's an affordable 2piece unit.

KA and SR would be a bad choice, they both run timing chains, which means the front main seal is at the crank pulley.
RB maybe, it's a belt drive, but kinda doubt it would fit the crank snout.

Wasn't aware of that. Thanks :)

The RB, unless an aftermarket version is a 1 piece unit...Tommey over here post6262361.html#p6262361 asked for RB measurements, which are: 23mm "deep", 29.5 or 30mm sized centerbore. Now if I could get CA18 measurements or someone to confirm that they are swappable.

asked the guy who initially write about this and he confirmed that the pulley is swappable with no issues... still confused.

This would only be an issue if he'd want to swap a CA pulley onto a KA/SR crank, but it's the other way around in this case.

so it's possible? what about dampening features? does the ka24 pulley have that rubber dampener?
