Ok, so were desprite here, we changeed the cluch motormounrs and flywheel on the KA, but had one hell of a time getting the transmission back up onto the motor.

finnally got it all back together but nowit wont start. she fired up and then stalled, now it cranks but wont run.

We were told that its probibly the crank angle sensor on the top of the Bell housing to the transmission, and we probibly damaged it installing it all.

has this ever happened to anyone? curious what happened when the went to start the car, etc....

thanks~ ThrwnSprkz & ForsakenTH

i know of a few people who have damaged the crank sensor but i don't know if it caused it not to start. i wouldn't think so.i would think the car would start but have a check engine light.the primary sensor is the one in the distributor, the one on the bell housing is mainly to detect engine misfires and stuff.that sensor is only on the 95 and up ka24de's or maybe it's 96 and up, i'm not sure, anyways it's not on the s13's

If you have an S13, there is no crank angle sensor on the bell housing; only on the S14s. However that sensor is not part of the normal running active system; it's only used for diagnostic purposes when test equipment is plugged into the OBD-II port.

Make sure the other sensors on the transmission are plugged in.

Make sure you're getting fuel and spark.
