I was wondering if there is a difference in the blocks between the KA24E and the DE? I have an opportunity to pick up a used KA24E block that I can rebuild for my car. Can I just switch the heads and make it a DE? Thanks guys.

I just received a reply to an email i sent to demcj. He tells me that the blocks are different. Neither the bolt holes nor the water jackets will line up for the different heads. As well the crank is different to accomodate the KA24E's single chain as opposed to the DE's dual chains. Thanks demetrius, I owe you one. :)
