Yeah thats pretty good, The KA24de stock ( I think ) gets 20mpg if you drive carefully. I drive the he/@ out of mine, I get about 17mpg on fouled plugs. It all depends on how you drive. Mash the gas and it goes down, smooth throttle gets better.

If you look at threads in the technical section, you will find they a few that deal with this topic. From what is there, 20 is about standard.

This thread should probably be moved out of this zone.

Be lucky you get 20. My ZX gets 17 when I granny drive it, and worse when I push it.

I have the same issue with low MPG. I added a WAI and it all went down hill from there. On a not so busy day at work I hooked up ConsultII and monitored some of my signals going into the ECM. I noticed that the Coolant Temp Sensor was reading funny to me. I pointed my Raytek infrared temp gauge at the Coolant Temp Sensor and found it to be about 25 degrees warmer than what it was telling the computer it was. After fully warming up the car it was still reading much lower than what it was telling the computer it was. This is by the way something I havent fixed yet and it is keeping my car from going into closed loop most of the time. I plan on checking it again this week to confirm it and then I will replace the sensor. I'll keep you posted as to whether or not the MPG problem was fixed or not.
