I haven't done a swap yet, but im in the process and might just cop a motorset instead of a front clip. IM wondering how big is the KA radiator in comparrison to the RB one ? I've heard some people were having some overheating issues, but i live in San Francisco and it hardly ever gets hot here.

So basically my question is should i get a koyo radiator or do ya think the stock KA one would suffice and how is the size compared to the RB.

they are pretty much the same size, the rb is about an inch taller iirc , a lot of people use the ka radiator without problems so ive heard.

Get good fans and you'll be fine depending on where you live.

I don't plan on buying any special radiator when I swap.. F that.

well i have a kayo radiator with my RB25 swap and i'm overheating, I live in Illinois so it's not to hot here anyway i had it looked at and my water pump is fine and my radiator has no leaks ( he did a vacume and preasure test on the coolant system) I have a 14 inch electric fan and a GReddy intercooler but I'm going to get the FAL dual fan and see if it helps!anyway as far looks the kayo radiator looks sweet with the swap!!

wow..that's odd, with a koyo radiator and still over heating.....might be some gasgate problem. You might install your fan the wrong way.

I use stock 240 radiator and one 14" fan infront of the radiator to blow to-ward the engine. I drove for 3 hours on hwy and it's fine.

no, my fan is facing the right way, i don't know what it is, the car runs fine, no smoke, or anything, next i'm going to have him do a compression test on the motor, i checked the oil and it's fine so i'm lost!...then again i don't know a whole lot about cars, just enough to get me buy

p.s...I had Mickinney do the swap so I'm pretty sure it was done right!!

don't forget if u hook up a pusher setup u need to reverse the polarity so it spins the opposite way(if it was originally supposed to be a puller)

Sometimes they got stock size koyo radiators..or stock replacements.

Im wondering, in SF it stays about 50-70 degrees all year around max and minimum pretty much during the day. Ya think i'll be ok?
