Did you happen to look around?

look at different manifolds JGS or IAP manifolds.

intercoolers like PWR

upgrade injectors to like 42lbs and fuel pump for a walbro

New fuel rail for the injectors

Turbo piping

garret 50 trim turbos

Search for the best price, if you got hookups I give you props.

He ask about an E, so he would have to modify the fuel rail if he used 370's or make a new one. :)

TurboCalculator is awesome

Jpang, becaues the ka24e has high compression, you will need to be careful with boost. Plus those headgaskets love to blow, so...But just make sure you have plenty of fuel going to it at all times, your timing is set, and you have (obviously) enough air to compensate the fuel, and you should be ok. Just dont try to run crazy boost numbers.

The compression ratio changes within the ka24e's anyway so you need to know which you've got... The 89 engine has a comp ratio of 9.1:1 I believe, and the 90's have a 8.6:1 ratio. So that would have an affect on the boost potential of the engine aswell.... Just my 2 cents..

I would think the 8.6:1 would be better for turbo, just for the capability of future boosting options. I too hope to turbo my 90 240!! But as far as my funds go.... I am far from turbo =( Right now my money is going into fixing any problems that the car has to get in into good condition....

thanks for all the imput guys... but i think i might engine swap to the newer ka models first then turbo.

would the ka24de s14 engine be better than the ka24de s13 engine for high boost because i love boost.

The differences are few. Although people prefer the 92-93 (or was it just 92) to boost because of the different cam duration.

i thought the '91's had the best cams, but maybe i'm wrong...since i own a '90

Since when is the ka24e a "high compression motor?" Its compression ratio is lower than the DOHC. Where do you get your information from because its totally wrong. The headgaskets fallacy is wrong also. Of course he's gonna want to set his timing right. Also, most turbocharged cars try to compensate the amount of air with enough fuel. Totally wrong with that one also. Geez, you must have had a total brain fart!

klattr1: What is the compression ratio in the DOHC's??I know that the 89 240's had a ratio of 9.1:1 and I believe the 90's either had that ratio or a ratio of 8.6:1... I might be totally wrong, but I believe those numbers are correct.
