How many of you think $950 for a turbo kit is a good price.. I know it is.. I just had a co-worker tell me that one of his friends is going ot be seilling his current kit cuz he is going SR...

I will post exactly what comes with the kit but from what I was told, it has everything needed to slap it on...!?!?! I'm thinking of just getting it and then selling it if it doesn't work out.. I mean.. I will get my money back.. $950 is not a a bad price at all (depending on what it comes with)

Since you guys would know what should come with it.. could one of you please give me a list of things it should come with so when I talk to that guys I can check go down the list and see what comes in the kit???

thank you

The most obvious:

intercooler, manifold, downpipe, and lets not forget the turbo itself. :)

Then you have the wastegate if the turbo isn't internally wastegated, blow-off valve, or a blow-through setup, the intercooler pipes on the hot side (right after the turbo, before intercooler), the intercooler cold pipes (after intercooler, before throttle body), oil return line, oil feed line, oil bung for oil pan, T-fitting to feed off the oil.

And finally, you have all the miscellaneous connectors, couplings, adapters, nuts, bolts, gaskets, etc etc.

I been pretty busy lately.. no time to work on my car. Last thing I did was the sound system and stopped after that.

It's been like half a year since you've had those fans? haha.Install them man... it's the best mod you can do to your engine. I got so much room in my engine bay now that the shroud and mechanical fan is out of the way.

Oh yeah, I also forgot the fuel pump as an item in the kit.

If you can get it for $950 with the majority of the components there, it would be a STEAL. I was thinking about a turbo kit too, but am holding off on that until there are more options available such as WD's kit that he is going to be working on soon. I just don't like the idea of using an FMU to control fuel, and FMAX+JWT ECU setup costs more than I wish to spend on a kit.

I know... i don't know what I want to do.. I was sure I wanted to go with SR swap because overall it is easir and some what cheaper.. I even saved up more than half of the money but unfortunetly my company might be moving my dept and I dont want to move with it so my job is on the line and I don't want to sink $4000+ in to my car when I know I might not have a job... ya know? so I am looking at cheaper alternetives... eh... who knows if this kit has almost everything then I might go for it and part it out... *maybe* i know i'll get my moneys worth atlest if worse comes to worse...

it sux man.. BTW.. I would need to change one belt with the fans right? do you remember what the part number for that would be by any chance??? thx...

$995 is a horrible price. Should be more like $550.

Tell ya what, get me in contact with this guy, and I'll give him a good talking to.

Water lines if its a watercooled turbo...Depending on the wastegate spring pressure, you might need a FMU if the boost is set to high. I'd use one anyway though, just to be safe.
