ka transmission sensors

I'm just curious as to what the transmission sensors do. i know the reverse one is for the lights but what about the 4th gear, 5th gear, and neutral sensors? can i just leave them unhooked? the wiring on mine is messed up and i dont want to go through the trouble of fixing it if i dont have to.

They sense the force...j/k. You only have to wire the reverse and speed sensor for functionality, but you will have CELs. I would fix the wiring, but that is just me. If you have an inspection shop that will pass your car with CELs, then don't worry about it. Good luck
