KA Trans with SR

KA Trans with SR
i heard of a guy that ran a KA 5 speed trans and just bolted the SR bellhousing on the KA and bolted it up. Will it work?

I dont know if there would be NE benefits, i just wanted to know because I may have a bad SR trans but i can easily get a KA trans. so if it will work, im not worried about if my trans is bad or not.
