sr guys!i was just wondering if anyone had done the ka trans change over and if it worked out for them and how hard it was etc....thanks!!!

Yes it works no its not too hard. Just move the internals over.

a few bolts and one big snap ring aroudn the output shaft and the bell housing well seperate from teh transmission....put the Sr bellhousing on the KA you just seperaed, reseal the bellhousing after drying with some type or RTV, reinstall snap ring and replace internal plate gasket and finish assembly....

might take ya a bit of time the first try, after that it only gets easier, deff doable, im on my 2rd KA transmission without a single issue yet. you wont even be able to tell teh difference between the two trannies with the bellhousings off.

thanks sr20goofusi just got my swap done and my trans is grinding and poping outta gear.it will pop out in 1st and i put the clutch back in and take it out of gear and its fine for about 10 more shifts.

just follow the FSM pics on what parts need to come apart and how tight the bolts need to be when you retighten them. Not as hard as most people make it sound, and teh SR trans is not as fnacy as most people think because its teh same as ka transmission, a dime a dozen here.
