KA trans harness doesnt match SR

my ka transmission harness (which i was told should match right up to my motor) isnt. the motor is an s13 blacktop sr20det.the trans harness doesnt match anything for some reason though.alternator plug doesnt plug into sr alternator.speed sensor doesnt plug in...i dont get it. any help would be greatly appreciated.if you guys need a better description..ill post a pic of my KA trans harness in a few days.

it should. the only difference between the lower KA harness is the extra connectors going to its respective transmission. you can still use the KA lower harness with the left over conector plugs hanging. make sure to tape up the excess. be careful where you cut also...you might lose speed signal like i did the first time around.

what year is your blacktop anyways? and what year is the KA harness you have? if it came with the J4 ecu, lets talk further. haha.

well the ka trans harness is from the 89 sohc trans (as far as i know).cuz i pulled the old motor out myself and thats the harness that was on it.

and for the blcktop sr,i have an E5 ecu.idk what year the sr is tho..

i highly doubt the SOHC KA lower harness works. I thought thats what you had.

and if you had the DOHC KA harness, everything is a bolt on affair.

E5 blacktops are 94-96. if it were a J4, that SR is kind of a mut. its like an S13 blacktop with S14 electronics, and reason being was that it was made during the final years of both the S14 Silvia and RPS13 180sx, so i figure they had to get rid of all the surplus SR20 crap.

damn,soA.the sr i have is not a pos like the older ones?and B.im gonna have to get a dual cam lower trans harness??
