KA trans. fluid change

im going to change my trans. fluid any tips on doing so and i wanna put a really good syn oil in it what weight does it take and how many quarts?

Do you have and auto or manual trans?My manual trans. took 3 quarts. I used Mobil 1 75w90.

i think it is more like 2 and a half quarts, well thats how much i have in mine. 75w90 is synthetic while 80w90 and 80w140 are just regular oil. i think thats right???

where do you drain it .where the socket drive hole is?

Yes the 1/2 inch square opening at the bottom of the transmission. Fill is either through the fill hole in the side of the transmission or through the shifter opening.

its so much easier throught the shifter...save yourself a ton of trouble by removing ONE C clip.

that was my first time doing that so i know how to do it if a get a short shifter and when i do my engine swap

I saw it in an article, so when i did my sr swap thats how i did it.
