So, where is a good reliable source for a new KA transmission? (Midwest) I'm not gonna pull more bad synchros out of a junker in a convenient PITA package.

There's no reliable and affordable choice for a *new* KA transmission. You could get one rebuilt at a transmission shop, but that can be hit or miss.

Your best bet is to pick up a low mileage transmission from someone here on NICO, or check with any local swaps that do SR swaps. They might have a decent KA engine and transmission sitting around that they'll get rid of for cheap.

Ever concider rebuilding one yourself? You can get a transmission for $75 bucks or less here on nico, $300 for a master rebuild kit with syncros, bam, new transmission.

Thats my plan at least...

Hmmmm...Yeah, rebuilding is an option. Are there any interesting swaps that anyone can think of? I'm ultimately wanting to put about 350rwhp through it. That's approaching the limits of the stock transmission, right? I want the car to carve corners as best as is possible with the turbo lag and torque curve shift. Or is stock going to be my best option? Just brainstorming past my suspension plans which will soon be put into action Thanx
