Well okay, Ive been flip-flopping back and forth between KAT and SR, and recently a major plus for the SR has been the fact that my current transmission is going (synchros are pretty work at 150k miles), and I'd be getting a new (ish) one with the SR...

I was just wondering what you guys might suggest as far as replacement/rebuilt transmissions for me if I decided to go with the KA-T afterall. I'm sure a new OEM one is expensive as HELL, and a junkyard one who knows what it's been through. What options do I have?

The drivetrain on this car is pretty hard to break. You can use either an E or a DE transmission since they will both mate up. I'd say you could easily find a sound one for $300 or less if you look around.
