iirc the auto one bolts up fine, could be wrong tho.find a trans xmember with "c" stamped on it as that is what my rb20 one has on it.i think the ka mt on is a "b" and the auto box is an "a" i cant remember tho its been a while.

One thing I've encountered is if the 240 was an auto use the auto transmission crossmember on the 5 speed swap, if it is a 5 speed use the 5 speed. If you try to use the 5 speed it will not line up correctly. All this I found out using the r32 crossmember so cannot confirm if it is the same with a mount kit.

on my front clip :P.lyon, im curious to know why you say that as every car ive done an auto to manual swap on i use the respective trans xmembers.the auto one from a ka will not work on a manual ka, its mounting point on the trans is in a diffrent spot and vice versa.

If your saying that for every swap you do you use the same transmission xmember that came with the 240 then yes I am saying the same thing, maybe I didn't explain it very well.. That's what I was trying to convey that if you're doing a 5 speed rb20 swap on a 240 you would use the same transmission xmember the 240 had originally installed..Does this sound better?
