KA transmission Capable of holding 500hp?

ok.. ive searched for about 2 hours on this topic before i decided to post so i dont get flamed, and i really havent found any answers. my main question is can a 5spd KA transmission hold 500hp to the wheels? if not what is the replacement that people normally use? any help would be appreciated.james

yes but you have to baby it? i think turbodave makes a bellhousing to adapt the 300zxtt transmission to it. u can always go with a c-4 as well.this is yoda aka bigk

c-4 5spd? what car does that come off of?

c4 is an auto transmission. If you wanna 5 spd, go the z32 route. It's not cheap though for either one.

I was just talking to someone tonight who has a Z32 trans in a KA bellhousing. He payed $500 for it. It came with a drive shaft, and mounts. His shifter is about 1 inch farther back than normal. He just had to send them his KA trans. I while ask him who did it, but I won't see him for a while(about a month)

The transmission is called a C4. It doesn't come off a C4. Research drag trannies, they're used a lot. If you don't plan on dragging and launching hard, you could probably just use the stock transmission.
