is there any trick on how to remove the pulley from the alternator? any special tool?i had my alternator checked at Peb-boys and they told me to replace it; so i did a search here on nico and found out the ka alternator will work on my sr but i need to swap pulleys, so there is my problem . im stuck on the pulley removal. another question - can the sr alternator be rebuild here in the US? i know a place near here that rebuilds starters and alternators but i want to make sure it can be done.

yeah, that works great if you have room to fit it on there. it should be a 27mm socket iirc.
