whats going on guys i just finshed my ka-t project (for the second time unfortunately). Car still doesnt won't to stay running. Checked for vacuum leaks, none. Checked for wiring, all good. Egr, pluged like Lance Bass. The only thing that i can think of is my spark plugs. They are the same gap as stock KA plugs. My friends turbo ZC won't idel right with the stock gap. Also with this being my first ka build im a lil lost with the idea off pluging the egr. Is it as easy as it sound, or is there something else that is required to in "pluging" the egr. Just for refrence setup is 14b turbo 8psi, stock maf, stock injectors, 12/1 fmu, blow through set up. And help is good help, all ideas welcomed.

Pluging the EGR involves getting a block off plate and 3 bolts over the hole in the intake manifold.

So, you start your car, it runs then just dies?

I mean if you think it could be your spark, why dont you try gaping your spark plugs at a smaller gap then seeing if it will idle?

So your KA ran and idled well before the turbo right?

Car ran perfect before. I havent gapped my plugs yet because i just thought about it and plus im at work right now . Also for the egr I put a rubber boot around the hose and clamped it down. I know it sounds stupid, trust me it looks the part, but will that work (for now)?

That sounds pretty ghetto, but it should work. Make sure to gap your plugs around .035" and open up from there. I think most folks wind up with .035-.038. .044 is too much gap with all that extra air from the turbo. Also get at least one heat range colder plug. I went 2 steps colder.Good luck, hope you get it going.
