KA-T w/o intercooler, ECU piggyback or not?

so yeah, ive heard i dont need any ECU piggybacks or MAF's or anything like that to run my T25 on my KA24DE, just a mani and an intake......true, or false?

tell whoever told you that to stfu, please, it is very simple you cannot add a turbocharger to any non turbocharged vehichle wihtout extra fuel and timing control. your friend gets

Technically it's possible to run 4-5 lbs of boost without adding injectors and requiring a new tune. But I would atleast recommend a FMIC...no intercooler is just asking from problems. When turbo's compress the air it gets heated, without a heat sinc like the intercooler you're risking detonation. Which is the #1 killer of all turbocharged motors.

What you can do on the other hand is add a FMU. This will increase the fuel pressure as boost increases. So you can keep the stock injectors and stock rom tune and add the T25 and run about 8 psi of boost safely. Any more then 8 and you'll need to retard the timing some.

Intercooler always IMO.

ZOMG, close thread nao!

theres sooooooo much going on in this subforum :

anyway, let me rephrase my origional statement, ive been told no ECU, or MAFC. Just mani, intake & SR injectors, reguardless ive already read the stickies and such, so everyone can take their fingers off the exclamation point......its just, im taking this advice from someone who has done some crazy **** before, so yeah.

You cannot change injectors with some sort of control either through ECU tune or SAFC.

We have a saying here in KA-T...do it right, or you'll have to do it again.

and yea, changing injector will require a tune with it. period. read the abc123omg turbo thread lol
