Ok, my ka-t is up and running (finally). I had a few things to fix, but I've mostly figured them out. This is all new to me, and despite my research, I still don't know what to expect.

Here are my questions:

-At what point should my AFR's dip to the 11's?-What AFR's are normal when cruising, moving from a stop at medium throttle, and letting off the gas at a stop sign?-Once the car is warmed up, how low is too low for oil pressure(at idle)?-Should I be able to really hear my turbo sucking in the air? (It's really audible)

I have yet to make any WOT runs since I'm a bit nervous about AFR's and I have a bit of an oil leak at the rear of my oil pan.

Sorry if it sounds all noob, I just really don't know what to expect.

Thanks guys!

Let's see if i can get some of these. Someone may want to double check or correct me if im wrong.

AFR into the 11's probably when you hit boost at WOT. Maybe a couple #'s into boost. depends on how your tuning is set up. The first is more conservative.

AFR ~14.7 when cruising. Prolly go up to 20 and drop down to ~14.7 and maybe jump between there when you let off the throttle, and medium throttle is relative....low 14's-high 13's

oil press should be over 11psi at idle. Mine is usually around 17 once competely warmed up and driving a while.

Yes you can hear the turbo spool and suck air through your filter and what not. Its a good sound. Get used to it.

With open wastegate you'll never be able to hear your turbo...at least I don't. Your AFR's can vary when you let off the throttle. If you're venting the BOV atmospherically, it should go rich and then quickly go back to stoich. If you're recirculated, it should go pretty Lean and quickly go back to stoich (~14.7). Don't worry about it fluctuating a lot...just keep it within the 14's and maybe sometimes low 15's.

One note though, it should be stoich when your at a constant throttle. When I depress the gas pedal even a LITTLE bit more, it will go rich into the 12-13 AFR's. So if you're on the freeway and you see stoich and you gas it a little more and it goes a little rich for a little while, thats normal. Also hills as well, should do the same thing.

Excellent post Tuning by vacuum is often overlooked. RPM is always the focal point.

Like everyone said, when you are on boost, the AFR's dip right down to the 11's or 12's. I ran high 12's until I saw about 4 psi. Then I richened it up to about 11.9-12.4. Best I could do with a SAFCII.

Yes, thank you for that.

I'm checking the numbers in a few minutes. I'll post up more when I'm done today.
