well i visited my machine shop today, Malden Machine to check out the progress of my rebuild. i def. liked what i saw. they have finished the head and reassembled it. and they have bored and honed the block. they should be done wednesday if everything goes good. on the head they installed the ferrea valve springs and retainers, port and polished the head and did a 3 angle valve job. i'll post more pics when they finish the block.Click below for pictures of the port and polish work for some reason they're not showing up on here.Port and Polish pics here.

Where do you live exactly, I grew up in the Chelmsford- Lowell area.

The head porting looks kinda sketchy to me. Not very smooth to say the least, especially the exhaust ports. I know the intake ports shouldn't be mirror polished, but the exhaust can be extremely smooth.

yeah thats what my machine shop guy did.. he left the intake somewhat rough (although not as rough as in some of those pics), and the exhaust side super smooth.

otherwise looks great man! brings back memories!
