Drove an hour to go out to track(1/4mile) Got slammed by some horrible rain on the way, couldn't see my headlights... Turned on one road and a55 kicked out in 2nd gear at 2500rpms I played the throttle a bti and straightened her out my friend behind me in his na supra did a 360.... On the way to the track from that spot we saw 7 wrecks. Track was horrible so kept driving and came back home.... on the way back saw 8 wrecks. On I-95 a neon lost control and cut my friends off and went into the ditch....

Yea bad tires + rain = Oh crap I can`t stop!! Almost hit somebody from behind because the car just kept sliding. I was driving really slow and stopped early but dam car just kept sliding. I had plenty of tire tread just some crappy no name brand tires. Since then I never drove in the rain until I replaced my tires with new Kumhos ASX. Night and day difference!!

Glad you didn`t wreck with all the crap you went through that really would have sucked!!

I don't understand what's so hard about rain driving?

Road is wet. Things get slippery. Increase following distance. Decrease speed. Don't hit shiz.

Glad you're ok, Flordy. Now, it's sunny today, so get yer arse to the track, homie!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

hahaha. That had my rolling....

Was this seperate from what you said about losing control from the rain? Like, a intentional drift? Out of curiousity, how old are you? (I'm 21).

Having an automatic...I haven't had too many problems, other than when I'm taking off from a dead-stop. This will all change though...as I only need to buy a clutch setup/kit before doing the 5sp conversion.

I'm 20. A couple times car started to hydroplane. If I punched in 1st,2nd,or 3rd as soon as boost would start my tires would break loose. So I had a hard time driving. Because even if I shifted slow with my RPS clutch it would break the tires loose and then boost would laugh and make them spin more.

I got back in town had abite to eat, and then went to go play pool. While sitting at a big intersection turning left, I shifted to 2nd in the middle of the turn going like 15mph.......Tired broke loose and boost hit, so I played the throttle and shuifted to 3rd was drifitng for maybe 125' and tires spun for another 150' past that once I was straight. My dad was one car back of me at an angle, he was going straight...

You ought to try driving on a smooth as glass sheet of ice. I've hit my breaks at 5mph and slid 100 feet. It feels like someone stole your calipers.

Yea I can, It's more of I don't try to keep traction... I like hearing my wastegate and BOV.Car starts to hydroplane because florida road's suck. Water doesn't drain off the road and there are puddles of water on the road. Usually on just one half so it will pull your car. Just hold the will firm until it get's back to solid.

I lived there for 4 years brofly, up in Destin. I had a Formula 350...so if you think your little no torque having car had traction issues...you should have driven that damn thing around.

Traction is a pain down here in no matter what your in. My Dad has a 95 ford ranger and just got 4 new tires on it, he got loose as well. Happens everytime we get a rain after a month of dryness. If it's raining constantly no no real issue, but if it's first after a long period then there is more oil on the road than there is water....
