if u drove a stock sr, and now will drive a kat, u will definitely go kat. The sr in my opinion is very slow stock. I test drove my buddies sr and i told him straight up, "this is pretty slow!" he then bumped it up to 10 psi and it was still slow.

yeah my friends was basically stock except for an ic and blow off. it took a while for the turbo to spool up. but i know that i like the torque in my ka, but im just trying to ride in one to have an idea of the performance.

ibtl.sr is pretty gutless until turbo begins to spool but ka-t's with a medium sized turbo seems to make good power right of the bat.i agree with the people who have posted so far. drive both and decide. i personally like the feel of ka-t's better but sr's are tons of fun with minimal mods.

for the love of the holy kat, do not make another single post until you learn a few things about the sr and ka(t) through the divine intervention known as the search function. and the huge faq!!!!

ease up crzycav, he's just wondering if he could get a ride in a KA-T that's fair. you can search till your blue in the face but it's not going to be the same as taking a test drive.

i dont know about a SR but i have felt that jdm 3sgte motor in a mr2. they should be about the same right? 2.0L with pretty small turbo. anyways...the thing i didnt like most was the turbo running out of breath so fast. it ran out of breath so fast the boost died out before i even got to finish making the smile on my face. i would like to hear someones opinion on what the s14 SR with the t28 and VTC feels like though.

it totally depends on the ka-t build!! The greddy kit DOES outperform the stock sr20. that is fact!! But how long is your motor gonna last if its not built to handle the extra hp? and if you choose a budget build up using parts from here and there, you dont know what your ending up with. when you compare the costs of building a ka-t PROPERLY, and swapping in an sr20..........that should decide what your willing to do. If you do go ka-t, ask people who have built succesfull setups and model your buildup on theirs, that's what forums like this are for, right? or you could go RB20 and cut your price in half of either ka-t or sr20......thats what i did:)

If this is a search to try and find someone to give you a ride in their car, fine.

If this is ANOTHER freakin KA-T versus SR thread, well, you know what... haha

pretty hard to comeby fellow KA-T's for rides. unlike SR's where tons of them are being sold and all you have to do is pretend you're interested in buying the car..lol.

Cant compare a torque monster to a high reving hp motor..!! You either like torque quick and fast or like to wait for the power..
