Hey guys, I was just wondering if you guys could post up pics of your engine bay if you got a KA-T in your vert, with detailed specs of your setup.

I'm planning on going boost this winter on my KA and I have read up on the topic all over Nico and Ka-t.org so much that my head hurts. However I still cant make my mind up on which way to go. The more I read about it , the more questions I have, lol. Which turbo, ecu, injectors, etc.My plan is to be arournd 300hp , mostly for reliable weekend fun, and maybe some track time as well. My budget is around $3000.

I'm thinking about getting a T3/TO4E turbonetisc turbo ( .60, .63)running around 10 psi, megan bottom mount manifold, 550cc deatchwerks injectors, FMIC, Enthalpy ecu, blitz wastegate, walboro fuel pump, z32 MAF.I'm kinda stuck at that point.

-Does that setup sound like it would meet my horse power needs??? - -How close are the SR intercooler pipes to what the KA motor needs, can they be used without alot of fabrication?

-What other SR parts are usable for a KA-T?

-would a T28 turbo be better than a T3/TO4E for my plans?

I'm asking you guys because the vert forum is a close community more so than the other ones that I've been to. Any advice is greatly apprechiated.

Check out the second page of my thread for my KA-T install:

zer...age=2

I have since gone FMIC with custom piping. There was way too much heat soak with the SMIC.

I've got a pile of engine parts right now... Just need some ARP hardwares before I take the good ol' KA to the machine shop.

Greg, how are those ebay SR pulleys holding up?

MY S14, not the vert.

The setup you're thinking about should get you 300hp. The only thing I'd change is the manifold. You need a manifold of good quality so it will last. Cheap manifolds tend to crack, meaning you will need to get it rewelded on occasion.

Good Luck!
