If the only thing you touched is the MAF, Im guessing it is most likely it. But did you plug the EGR off or just rip it out, if its open you have a huge vacuum leak. On a side note, I would be getting bigger injectors, a 255 fuel pump and a some kind of fuel/timing control on there (better safe then sorry) Good luck on the build. KA-Ts are a ton of fun

Just dont push the boost past 7-8 and you should be ok. You got a really big fmu, the norm is 8:1.

Ya, what 480 said is true, if you dont push it you should be fine, however, if youd like a little extra insurance I'd start saving for the upgrades. I would also add a wideband to the list. Interested how you took off the EGR, did you remove it all from the intake manifold or just cut the EGR tube?

It sounds like you may have several problems compounded. Your O2 sensor should be hooked up so your ecu knows what is what. Double, nay, triple check all your emissions set up to make sure you don't have a serious vac leak. that FMU may be too big. Your ecu is also set so that if it senses something wrong, it goes into safe mode, where your injectors fire all the time and that could cause a rich condition. Step back and take a long look at your set up to see where something is wrong. G/L

This is a perfect example of why the KAT gets a bad rep. You can't simply unhook things that are required for the car to run properly.

Is the MAF blow through? Cause your wording is...well not good.

Hook up the O2, hook up a down pipe, hook up the emmissions stuff or block off all the ports. Get a 8:1 FMU or 10:1 at most. A 12:1 is going to foul your plugs within a day or two.

Here's the deal when turbo charging a car. Everything that made it run stock will still be needed to make it run with boost. The turbo is just a way to force air in.

Fix ALL of the above and make a new thread if it isn't fixed.
