Turned my fuel pressure and car was running great. With the exception of overheating while stopped. Also my brakes lights didn't work. Bolt on the brake pedal fixed that. Had a car meet last Thursday and Floyds13 showed up at my house and we take off to go to it.A Florida Flash Thunderstorm happens out of nowhere and roads are slick.Halfway there a cop pulls out of a gas station and gets up behind me...I'm thinking my brake lights aren't working no more..he stays behind me for abotu 2-3miles before passing me. The light in front of the cop and I turns red... I let off the gas and coast to the light. Start to hit my brakes and nothing, try pumping them and nothing, So I gently pull the ebrake and slowly lock them up while going in a straight line. Then turn right into a U-Haul storage place. Where I immediately pop my hood and jump up. The cop who just passed me is sitting at the light with the WTF expression on his face. He pulls up next to me and ask very sternly, "Is there a problem here" I replied," Well my brakes didn't work, so I pulled my e-brake so I could stop" He starts to somehting somehtign else but it starts to pour again, so the nice officer rolls up his window and drives off.In the rush of trying to get to the meet, I forgot to put my heat shield over my turbo. Master cylinder is baked New one ordered $135 with reservior $65 without. How is the reservior more than the master cylinder????Taking it to a shop so they can weld my diff while I wait for the master cylinder to come in.Also got a Koyo radiator that should be here any day to fix my heating problem...Lesson: Invest in heat blankets/shields and stop rushing yourself....

Dang, glad you got stopped!

If I could offer up some insight to the Koyo...

Over in the KA section I just posted about the drain plug on that radiator. It's plastic. After about 2 years, mine cracked and started leaking...a lot.

I fixed it by using the rubber O-ring supplied with the original plastic drain plug, a bolt about 25mm long (M10x1.0 is the thread pitch) and a steel washer.

Do yourself a favor now before it's a problem later. Remove that plastic crapper and install the bolt.

Bolt > Steel washer > Rubber washer in that order. Threads right in the hole, permanent fix.

Glad you can fix those brakes before you crash out!

I was having a weird brake problem, think my master was ogign bad anywayz. Had to pump the pedal sometimes and couldnt' stop fast. Checked my pads and they were good. So Figured drivign 10miles and back wouldn't be an issue. After all that happened I turned around and drove home going the speed limit or under and timing lights. Turned my car off at one light to make sure it wouldn't start overheating...

hahahah well put my man, well put! Florida has had SO many unbeleivable turns of bad luck with this car, and yet time and time again he pulls through and continues forward with it.

Well done sir! hahah *clap*

I've been through so much it's pointless to quit now. It's just another tally mark on the wall.Think I should write a book...."The Nightmare of S13" "S13 if it ain't broke, it soon will be""S13 10001 things that can go wrong"

Wow, thank goodness you didn't panic and get into an accident. I'm sure this was a wake up call for you to double check things.

I was laughing while it was happening. Because there was a cop in front of me. Was thinking this is going to be a interesting situation.

I like your title Fiz......Maybe I'll make a little article on car domain.

It happen on the way home around midnight after drag racing all evening. I was 50 miles away from home on the interstate. We duck taped it up with a diet coke can and drove it back home. Funny thing is that everybody thought that was the highlight of the night!

i destroyed 3 master cylinder reservoirs. but never the master cylinder itself.

when i first had my ka-t, it would boil my brake fluid and my pedal would sink to the floor. i was lucky i was local when it happened cause i was driving 100 miles back home from jersey on my maiden ka-t run. my girl was so scared she was praying for us to get home safe.

all you gotta do is wait for the brake fluid to cool off and it would stop again. just buy a new reservoir.

That is an old pic I now have the downpipe wraped and heat shield around the brake resevoir.

I don`t think I payed more then 20 bucks for that plastic resevoir. I will have to look tonight through my papers and see what I payed for it.

It was at my intake mani. A line that comes towards the throttle body. I made a boost leak tester. My system is good up to 60psi....That's at what level the pvc cap I used blew off an went 10ft in the air. Friend was having fun releasing the valve. Awesome BOV sound....My other leak was part of the egr system which I thought I had capped off already. After that I switch my PCV valve to preturbo again and everything seems to be alright..

That's my PA for my car. Works in parking lots or cars beside you. Not when driving unless it's someone walking. Cost $15 and then whatever your cb radio is which you can get from 60-160 real easy. My CB portion is burnt up but the PA still works.
