Ok I'm almost done piecing together my ka turbo kit, but I'm getting really caught up on how much boost to run and what kind of fuel management to use, I have been searching all day but I just can't decide what to do. It is a stock ka with 120,xxx miles. the turbo I'm going to use is a .48/.48 t3, wierd size huh but ya .48/.48 not .42/.48

So I basically have everything but the fuel managment and the wastegate, mostly because I can decide the boost and what Fuel managment I want to run.I want around 220-240 hp, and I think thats obtainable with about 6-8psi? i can either get the fmu, which from what I have been reading is not the best idea, or get the safcII or something, I don't have all the money in the world but I think I can pull out enough money for new injectors, I just need some opinions here. reassurance on what to do so I don't make a mistake. Thanks

The cheapest option is the fixed type FMU (fuel management unit) which mechanically provides a constant air/fuel mixture. These are the most affordable way to provide fuel to a turbocharged engine, but are not the best. Digital options are the next step up, which include SAFC-II, AFR, and E-Manage. These are not terribly expensive, and provide the best fuel management for the money. These units digitally manage fuel flow, and provide excellent variability for the money.
