I got my KA-T running as some may know but on the way home after cruising i was having misfireing problem steadily getting worse. Well i figured it was the s***ty platinum tip NGK plugs i had in it(heat range5) and i ordered some new ones BKR7E of course. I got em today and its still has the same problem. Basically the car will start, but then if i try to rev it, it will only got to about 3500 and bounce like its a rev limiter. So thinking i read this somewhere i pulled the plug on the maf and when i rev it it does the same thing. Can anyone verify that this is a sign my MAF is junk. BTW its a n62 if your wondering. All my plugs wires cap and rotor are brand new. And im running a MSD blaster coil if that helps any. Your help is greatly appreciated Nico

Why don't you pull the codes. If it says MAF, then yours is bad. It does "sound" like you're describing limp home mode though. Usually happens when you have a bad maf.

WD or anyone else if you read this. If i just got my ecu back from enthalpy and this is the ifrst time i ran it and it worked great, would it take the ecu a short period of time to learn that the maf is bad, and that is why it is now in "limp mode" or would it recognize this immediatley? Also if i unplugg my battery for a longer period of time should that not reset the computer and i will jsut start that process all over. And do i need to do anything other then get a new maf to get the ECU out of "limp mode"

The ecu doesn't really learn if the maf is bad, it just reads from the maf sensor and if there is a discrepancy in what it is supposed to "sense" then it goes into limp mode. All you have to do is look at the light and see how many times it blinks or what not then reference a code sheet to find out what code it is throwing. There is a write up on here on how to check what code it is.
