This is my first post since I got my ka-t s14 running. I'd first like to thank everyone on this forum because its your posts and responses that allowed me to be able to finish it.My setup is:Unknown T25 (larger than a SR T25 but never fully figured out what it is)370cc injectorsEnthalpy ECUwalbro, FMIC, 3" turbo-back, ect.

I'm currently only running it at 4psi and am shocked with the increase in power for that boost level. I will be raising it to 9 once I get my fpr.I was hoping you guys could help me with a couple small problems I'm still having with it.

It doesnt like to cold idle. It will sputter and sometimes die, but once it warms up some it idles and runs like a champ. I thought it could be needing to replace my fpr, but i wanted to see what else it might be. Also, is there a way to turn up your cold idle with out turning up your normal idle? Might i have to fix my base timing?

One other quick fpr question. How do you set an fpr that doesnt have a gauge on it like the nismo fpr? Do you have to have an in-cabin gauge? If so I might be going with the OBX fpr.

Well thats it. Other than that its running great. I have a picture of my setup below. Just thought i would post to say I've joined the ka-t club now and am not just a spectator as I've been for so long. It's great finally being turbo

progress......

My famous heatless oil bung

Congradulations getting your KAT running. As far as the problem with idle when cold. It could be you have an air leak that is causing it to run rough. The ECU increases fuel to the engine when it is cold and having an air leak could cause it to run even richer. If you have a pressure gauge you should be around -20 in vacuum at idle. Boost is fun and addictive!!

Where is your IACV hose run? I don't see it on the cold pipe. If you didnt weld in a bung for the IACV that may be your prob with the cold idle.

like wild_maxx said, your iacv is hooked up to the turbo inlet. should be hooked to cold pipe near throttle. then hook up the the valve cover breather to the turbo inlet. may not be the fix, but just something to note.too bad i live on the other side of the state, would be cool to check it out.

There are two hoses that come out from where the throttle body is. Is the iacv the large one or the small one? Right now you can see both routed to the intake, going across my fan shroud.

Also when my car was obdII (pre-enthalpy) it threw a code for the intake idler valve. It never really effected my car then, but maybe it is now. Do you think that went bad? and if it did how would i fix that?

Thanks again guys for your help.

I live at 9 and meadowbrook intersection but most the time I'm up at school in midland. I'm home weekends usually tho. You go to any meets near us?

For the oil pan i used the flange you saw. I drilled 3 holes in the pan for it and ran allen head bolts through it. On the inside i just put nuts and lockwashers, but I recomend lock-tight to be safe. To seal it I used a rubber gasket and black RTV. I havent had any trouble with leaks. The hard part is lining up the 3 holes perfectly.

Anyone know about the iacv question above ^ ?

IACV is the larger hose. You're creating a huge boost leak by running that to the intake, maybe the reason you're only running 4 psi. Route that to the cold pipe, and the valve cover breather to the intake as previously mentioned

[off_topic]hey, you go to school in midland? you should click on the link in my signature, sign up and drop by sometime when we are out and about. there's a couple pretty cool car clubs in the tri-cities (mine being one of them of course) that wouldn't mind seeing that boosted ka.[/off_topic]

sorry i can't answer any of your questions. car looks sweet though.

Yup it was the IACV hose. rerouted it and now it idles like a new car, also noticeably faster. Thanks guys. Do I have to route that small hose thats near it to the cold pipe also??
