ok so i finally got the car running but now i'm having alot of idle issues. my fuel and a/f mods are

565cc sti injectors n60 maf walboro 250 pump 300zx fuel filter safc2

the settings im using for the n60 are 4 in and 6 out. i've put low throt fuel to 50% from 1k-2.5k. when the car is disconnected from the battery and then reconnected( i guess ecu reset)it idles very rich then if i goto rev it, it seems to hesitates and stays at 1.5k rpm instead of 800-1k rpm and slowly starts to increase to like 3k rpm and at that point i shut it down cause i'm worried i'll pop the motor.

what i've done to try to trouble shoot this issue is i've checked my TPS at closed it was about .875v so i lowered it to .4-.45v and at WOT i cant seem to get it to go over 4v. in the safc i've tried to change the fuel lvl but it seems no matter what i do it doesnt seem to change anything in terms of how rich its sitting(the clouds of gas smoke doesnt get smaller or bigger).

my timing is dead on(checked with timing light). can someone throw out some ideas of what could cause this or how i can fix it?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a quickie, you do mean -50% at idle right? Are you using a wideband?

ya i mean -50% :D. i have not connected a wideband because its just crazy rich, like there is unburnt gas comin out the exhaust and i dont feel like damaging my 120dollar o2 sensor lol.

did some further trouble shooting last night, my tps was way off it was at like .25 fixed that to .48 and when open its at 4.1-4.2. tried to run the car without the maf and it idled correctly and when i tried to rev it it stumbled and held it self at 1300rpm(thats as high as i went) for a couple of seconds and then went back to 900rpm(still cold). i have a N60 maf and have the following wiring done,

a = nothingb = going to the white signal cord on the harnesc = ground to chassisd = ground to harnesse = power wire going into black/white harness wire

does that sound right?

another thing i think might be an issue is my maf is probably 5-6 inches away from my turbo. i have heard some people say this could be an issue but i've seen many setups running with about the same length away from my turbo. i have a 50trim trubo with .63 a/r housing.

Your MAF should be at least 8" away from turbo (maybe more).

There is a nice diagram on these forums, just search for 'z32 maf wiring'.

Make sure the voltage is about 1V with the key 'ON' to white and black wires. If not your wiring is wrong.

by the white and black wires do you mean the one that is black with a white stripe or do u mean the white wire for the signal and the black wires for the ground?

did some further trouble shooting today. my maf voltage with the key in the on position is about .3v. turned the car on and all of a sudden it started to work and idle properly. at idle(1.3k for warm up) the voltage for the maf was about 1.2-1.4v. revving it to 3k brought the maf up to 2.3v or so but checking the safc sensor settings showed i had knock of 320!!!!!

anyways i ran out of gas and went and got more gas came back and tried to start it up it wouldnt start!!! i checked to make sure my fuel pump was okay and it primed up just fine and everything, disconnected the maf and it slowly started turned the car off and plugged the maf in and turned it on again, it started but i couldnt rev it at all.

im soo confused it seems like it running better but now it cant rev at all. anyone got any more ideas cause im fresh out.
