I am going to dyno my car on saturday for the first time now that it is KA-T. I decided to make a betting event out of it at my work. So I thought it would be interesting to see what the people of Nico thought. My setup includes

stock bottom end S14 KA24DE550cc injectors255 lph walboro fuel pumpssac top mount manifoldOBX T3 60 trim turbotial 38mm wastegate with open dumpfront mount intercoolerHKS SSQV BOV (recirculated)Z32 MAFNGK BKR7E plugs gapped at .2810.2 mm plug wires10.4mm coil wireMSD blaster coilCenterforce clutch Enthalpy tuned ECU for above mods and 7000 RPM rev limitrunning wastegate pressure of 10.5 psi with a 12 psi spike that trails off to 10 Full 2.5 inch exhaust from turbo into hollow dual 3 inch outlet muffler

that is all.

turbo shreds itself and compressor/turbine housing splits in 2?

prolly ~260 or so, depending on condition of engine, my friend made ~280 at 10psi with a slightly bigger turbo, and aem ems before the tuner blew it up cause he didn't know he had to tune the timing.

that 2.5'' exhaust is gonna hurt you. im gonna bet (without knowing the condition of the motor or mileage)....

nah fucck that. whats the exact size of your turbo? compression on motor? if its a .63 ar stage 3 exhaust im gonna bet around 272.

I see no mods relating to the head, and you set the rev limiter to 7000 RPM?

It won't last long, at all.

I'd set it too 5800RPM, maybe 6000RPM's. There's no point of taking it further than that.

Get yourself a fully counterweight crank and some sort of damper if you wanna go to 7000.

i guess i had them make it a 7000rpm rev limit for safety reasons. And BTW my motor is clean only 50k on it and compression tested 180 across the board.

268 whp and 283 tq =]

a ka can handle 7K rpms no problem, the problem is that power starts to drop off after 5500 approx.

cams, ATI dampener and maybe a custom intake manifold will make the ka pull to a lot higher rpms

Run at the track so you can know your trap speed.

That way we can make a better guess on how much power you're making.

kinda depends on the turbo, but most of the time the torque is the same if not more than the hp
