hi i am new here....i just wanted to run my setup by you and see what my next step should be.....
93 240sx coupe
ka24det
t3.t04 garret turbo
stock injectors
stock fuel pump
stock maf
compression 162 160 160 161
timing set back at 20 deg
wastegate spring at 5lbs

this is my first nissan...and first turbo car, ive been a honda guy through and through up till now
the car idles realy rough and dumps alot of fuel. which is fouling out plugs pretty quick. now when im at idle i only have 9lbs of vaccum, and when i get on the throttle i have to baby it or the wastegate opens and shuts realy fast over and over again and acts like a misfire....but at this time im bellowing black smoke from fuel being rich.....are the plugs just loading up?

or at idle if i just slowing give it throttle it sticks at 2200rpm and sounds like two step untill i give it more throttle then it hesitates again at 4000rpm

i would probably say its the stock maf idk much about turboing a ka nor have i ever done it but ive read a few builds and they usually upgrade the maf fuel pump and fpr.

how many pounds of boost are you at? idk if that setup can handle any boost or small boost or what so for better help you can check out the ka-t section of the forums

not getting past 5lbs...usualy only spools 4lb before wastegate opens. but when it opens it acts like it missfires...it opens and shuts...unless i baby the gas it cuts out....but its not fuel cut cause its runnin rediculously rich....im gettin wideband hooked up tomorow...but when i had it in the bung it was constantly at 10.0 afr

Common lately is not having an O2 sensor hooked up. Did you only have Wideband and not the O2 hooked up?

And yes running stock everything with boost is not going to go too well for long probably.

ya dont plan on staying this wa for long...i traded an 82 corola for this car str8 up...lol...im just wanting to get it runnin with what i have..before i empty my bank acounts on another project....when i got it there was no 02 sensor...no exhaust or turbo gaskets....and it ran on two cylinders...so were moving forward...i too the wideband out to put it the oem narowband sensor. i should be able to get away with 4 lbs on stock everything tho from what i can see....im only geting about 9 lbs of vaccum on idle tho? shouldnt this be higher? and if its got a 8 lb vaccum leak that could cause rich conditions correct?

im a honda guy...so this has been a slap in the face realising how simple and easy a honda is to build...

Yes vaccum leak could be an issue. Should be around 20 at idle.
