just got my ka-t running and i drove it around the block, okay so when i step on it the rpms go up but the drag and when it gets into boost it bogs then drags some more till it hits 6k rpm then it just cant go no more and stops there???what is wrong there is also no power to even when its in boost because the rpm is dragging so bad...

sr t25370cccomplete exuastfmicnismo fpr type bwalbro fuel pumpemance tunez32 maf

also is there suppose to be something in the fpr when you take the screw all the way out, like a spring or something???because there is nothing there on mine and my fuel pressure gauge is on right after my fuel filter and the fpr is as close to the stock position as possible and my fuel pressure reads 100psi on start up...so when i adjust it the pressure just stays the same until i unscrew it till its almst out then the needle on the gauge just flys back and fourth from 100 to 20psi???what is going on with my car???

why put the stock fpr back on?

i ran the same set-up like his and my stock fpr crap out on me and then when i installed my nismo type b fpr it ran fine.

the walbro fuel pump is too strong for the stock fpr.

you probably have a defective fpr, also after getting the fuel pressure solved then check for bad tune. Do you have a wideband? what were the readings when you installed the fpr? also look at the gauge and when you adjust the screw does fuel pressure respond to it? if it doesnt then the fpr is defective.

i remember reading a thread, a guy had a bad fpr and it was reading over 100psi and fluctuating, he replaced the fpr and solved.

I've not seen him on AIM either. I got my car up and running over a month ago, and I've not heard anything back. I don't think I'm going to be pulling punches anymore.

Just so I understand this, you now have a stock ecu controlling 370cc injectors? If so, please stop, you're about two shakes from destroying the motor.

Get a fuel pressure gauge, beg borrow steal a wide band, verify everything. Emance hasn't been doing anyone any good as of late, but don't assume it's his fault. If the car runs with 370's and no tune, it sounds like something else to me.

so let's get this straight, you've got good fuel pressure now? you've got a stock ecu in w/370's and a z32 mafs and your car runs better. idk but i call bs. z32 and stock ecu's run horrible if at all. with a stock ecu and 370's you motor should be flooding or at least on the verge of flooding. maybe you installed the stock ecu first and now you have the tuned ecu in. idk but i just can't believe a stock ecu fixed your problem w/370's and a z32 mafs still in the car.

to clear things up nismo_power is running an afcneo thats why he was able to run the stock ecu w/ z32 maf. yes it is very dangerous to run the stock ecu w/ 370cc but it was suppose to be a test to see if it ran better only. assuming he only did test run which will not mess up the motor unless if driven for long distance. because me and my bro ran stock ecu w/ 450cc to dyno shop and made it back home(dont recommend this to anyone).

i havent talked to nismo_power but maybe his in/out(hotwire) settings weren't correct messing up the way the ecu ran, since it is tune for a z32maf i hope he have the setting for 2in2out on the neo.

but still ecu doesnt mess w/ high fuel pressure, so this narrows down to bad fpr. after fixing this problem, we'll see if the ecu is bad/good.

no i have not removed the distributor...

believe it or not the stock ecu is running the z32 maf and 370cc better then the tuned ecu was...i didnt say it was running good but way better...and yes it was just a test...i do have a fuel pressure gauge and i waiting to get a little more cash to pick up a wideband...

so today i got the new fuel pressure gauge in and its still doing the same thing...the fuel pressure will not adjust between 20psi and 100psi???when you try to adjust it then the needle on the fuel pressure gauge just flys back and fourth between 20psi and 100psi???

is this right the way i have my fuel system hooked up??

If the picture that you draw is right then you have the fpr hooked wrong. the end of the fuel rail goes into the side of the fpr and out of the bottom piece back into the fuel tank.

hope this is your problem.
