KA-T gt35r turbo and top mount intercooler

i've been thinking about doing a ka-t but never had any experience with this motor. i use to have a 91 240sx but swaped an sr20 right away and never messed with the KA. now im ready for a new project and was wondering does anyone here run a gt35r on their ka and wat kind of power do u make?

second question is im trying to make this car a sleeper so has anyone ever put a top mount intercooler on a ka-t or is it even possible with the clearance from the motor and radiator?

instead of a top mount, v mount it. you'll have to get rid of your clutch fan and its sort of like a top mount, although you'll need ventilation to the IC for it to cool properly.

is v-mount when the intercooler is mounted between the motor and the radiator? if it is then thats what i meant.thanks for the suggestion zsimp

Top Mount = Bad Idea. No need to even discuss it. Why would you ever place your heat sink in an envirnment where it will simply become heat soaked?

WRX's need a huge hole in the head and they are still very inefficient in comparison.
