So this year i am crossing the bridge and coming to the KAT side. I will be going with a tuned ECU. My only question is what are everyone experience with the different providers(JWT,Enthalpy,Emance) and who would you recommend. Also as far as my setup goes, this is what ill be running for my mild setup until further funds are gathered.

370cc injectors255lph fuel pumpstock mafrecirculated HKS blow off valveFront mount intercoolerRB20 turbo (internal 10psi wastegate)

So as far as the turbo goes, I know its a T3 flange but its like the size of a t28, pretty small in my opinion. Stock wastegate is set at 10. So when i give my list of modifications to the tuner do i tell him my turbo is a T3 or a T28. Any help would be much appreciated. Also if anyone sees any problems with the current setup as far as parts, please your input is appreciated.

I my self am all ways mentally piecing a turbo kit together and reading up on tacking a " T " to the end of my KA.

here is my .02

I have "heard" of horror storied of the stock RB20 turbo's being week, something like the turbine wheel being ceramic. dont quote me. I'm personally thinking of a stock garret t28 of the s14 sr20 my self. cant go wrong there, just enough to start out and get the boost bug and be reliable.

and again me not personally by one of those "my friend" things. i just left his house, i was with him on the phone with emance, Real people doing a real grass root service for us kinda guys. sticker of assurance and any thing goes wrong send it back, talk to a real person real location to send it to and real results. man i sound like a infomercial but his sr20 prrrrrrrrrz and roars when he wants it, gosh he starts sliding around 3.2k @13lbs of boost now. needs more than 235's of rubber on the road.

Emance and T28 and z32 maf there cheap... like 50$

and everything else sounds like what i'm going to do.

A quick suggestion, if you can afford it right now, get bigger injectors so that you can get your ECU tuned for growth. (believe me, you will want more HP....)

For instance, if you decide you want to put your car at 300Hp, then you should get your ECU tuned for 550cc injectors. That way you have a reliable setup which will get you to 300hp by upping the boost. If you decide you want only 220hp for now, then no problem, that tune will work just fine, just lower the boost or run the stock waste psi and you'll have a reliable 220hp. With 370cc injectors you can't get to 300hp reliably, and even if you change the injectors for bigger ones, the ECU has to be retuned for the bigger injectors.

IMO it's worth the extra $300 that it would cost you to get them from say DeatschWerks.

Good luck with your KA-T

its better to spend a little money now so you dont have to spend more later. and the room to grow your setup with out having to get a retune is worth the extra money for new injectors. and i think you can get some money back for your cores at deatchwerks. im not to sure on that . also if you already have the 370's you could sell them and make the bigger injectors even cheaper

According to the injector spreadsheet the 440cc injectors will be at 100% duty cycle at 305Hp. From what I understand t's not recommended to run them at 100% duty, so probably you would have to stop at 280Hp. KA's can take 300Hp on stock internals, especially with a good tune like the one you plan to get. Just trying to point you in the right direction man, if 280Hp cuts it for you, then go for it and get the 440cc. If you would like to get to 300-320Hp then you need the 550cc.

both options are good, just depends on your goal.

good luck and keep us posted
