Heres a few pics of a ka-t build i just finished for a friend...

engine:s13 dohc ka24des13 camswiseco pistons 9:1 cr 20thou overpolished rodst3/t4 57 trim turbo .84 exh housing700cc injectorsz32 mafbikirom tuned by methick spearco core intercoolerpeak boost turbo manifoldtial 38mm wg w/ 5.6psi springsaga boost, oil pressure, watertemp gaugestech edge 2a0 widebandgreddy type-rs bovcustom intercooler piping and dump tube fabbed by me

some welds look gross, but dont mind them i ran out of gas in the middle of it and didnt realize it till i was done...so NO H8ING!

at 12psi the car produces an estimated 315whp give or take 10hp...it was run against a known 350whp ka-t that was boosting 20psi and hung with it.

Nice buildup man, she looks sweet.

I hate to be the one that tells you this but.. Wideband o2 sensor dont like heat, typically your supposed to mount them about 18 inch's away from the turbo. That is a Bosch Wbo2 sensor in your dump pipe i think, if im wrong sorry in advance. Im sure it will be fine for a good long time, but i doubt you'll get the miles out of it your supposed to. I have heard they let go somewhere between 75000-100000 miles.

Btw that manifold is damned nice looking.

At night i bet you cant even see your engine bay..... The black theme you got is gonna stay looking nice for a long time, i like it.

Where is the MAF?

Did you build the block, as in, did you bore it .020 or was it done by a shop?

Let me know, I need a built block and I'm a hr. away.

Doing 12 psi and staying side-by-side with a 20 psi car must feel good..

lol, thanks for the comments...480sx - as long as you mantain a MIN of 6" from the turbo outlet you will be fine, you should never count on getting 75kmi out of an o2 sensor, especialy one on a modded car...you will be lucky to get 20k.

greg - thanks, there is a heat sheild on the brake master area now, but i had just finished the majior portions of the setup before mountint it. RAW STEEL MANIFOLD FTMFW! Heatwrap works, but it shortens the lifespan of what its wrapped around loads.

drEameRvaJ - maf is there its just, hiding . as far as the build goes i had my machine shop that i trust ALOT do the motor work, we did assembly on it but the bored, honed, decked, cleaned, and made sure the block was in spec.

Seriously, I don't see a MAF, is it a blow-thru set-up?

If you can, could you tell me how much you got the block done for? That's basically all I need done to mines, but I'll need them to assemble it for me since I've never assemble a block before unless you want to help me. =)

Well let me know, I don't know any shops around here that I know good rep. about, I wouldn't mind driving a hr. and a half to get my block done.

THANKS!

is this intake mani heat coated or just painted? if just painted do you have any heat problems with it? i was told that painting a mani like that doesnt allow the metal to breath properly and increases heat. sounds like some bs to me.. but yah could be wrong.

the manifold is actualy powdercoated, not painted and only coated on the outside.the stock manifold gets retardely hot due to coolant running thru the throttlebody and the manifold its self, not much can be done about heat soak except ensure an efficient cooling system is in place.

correct on the blowthru, good for stablizing erratic idle due to cams or atm bov.bikirom works well, just sucks its not a realtime setup...on a side note car was dynoed today and put down 320whp @ 12psi, i'll scan the sheet asap.

no the hood doesnt close without shimming, the owner insisted on polyurathaning nismo mounts so it sits excessively high, oh well...

manifold was a pain in my *******.you have to use allen bolts to attatch the wastegate to the manifold, i used regular bolts and that sucked beyond belief.the best way to install the manifold is with the wg already attatched, but since i didnt have a dump tube or had an idea of where to put the dump tube that wasnt an option.
