Sup everyone, new to the board but I have been lurking for quite some time. I've been toying with a few different cars to purchase as a fun car and I think I've decided on an S14, 97 or 98 if I can find one.

I've read a bunch of posts about forced induction on 240's, SR, KA, this that and everything else.

I think the KA route is the right one for me, but I'd like to know about the strength of this engine under the stresses of FI. I wouldn't go any higher than 250-300 whp, but is that already asking too much out of this block?

the ka is a cast iron block.(almost bulletproof i think). we recently had someone on the forum pull 400+ whp on a stock bottom end. so the block can handle it.but to be safe you may want to upgrade internals unless you plan on doing alot of tuning.

I've always gone the NA route so I'm fairly new to forced power, can you give me an idea on what one might want to upgrade as far as internals are concerned?

You would think that that getting 220 or so whp would be fairly common with the KA but I have yet to find any. I don't think that you could see much more than 200 at the wheels and still keep the car daily streetable
