The pistons did change from the 90/91 S13 KA's to later KA's. The earlier one's used a higher topped piston because the head. Newer versions use a more bowled piston because of different head design. I know cause I'm building a frankenstien motor w/ the E type internals and DE head. Had to do a little research before continuing ya know?

I'm new on here and was doing some searching in the hunt for some good build-up info. It's all good though right? Just wanted to add that bit in there for anyone who might want it.

lets get this straight...

s13 SOHC had different pistons than s13/s14 DOHC?

so s13 DOHC and s14 DOHC had the same pistons? someone correct me if im wrong...

the pistons are different in that if you use sohc pistons in a dohc you will up the compression, and lower it if u do it the other way around.

they are the same in that you can exchange them between the blocks

...and yes, all of the 91+ DOHC motors had the same pistons. With that, I'm going to put an end to this thread.
