ka starting/starter issues after meltdown; HELP! event soon!

after melting the harness in my friend's KA and completely switching out to a new complete/non-ghetto harness, still no start. no crank at all.car was running absolutely perfect until the harness got damaged.

only thing that happens is the starter is spinning but not engaging.we also switched starters too, same ****. just spinning. sounds like an old rc car or windup matchbox racer...?anyone; mechanics?

if you fried your harness it could be many things did you change the ecu..?

It is moving the flywheel right?

And ECU could be toast if certain wires shorted out.
