KA-->SR exhaust

Ok so I searched plenty...

What type of exhausts are interchangable with KA and SR? I mean I can imagine any of them are (i know about sizing as well)... I am just curious if the DP placement when bolted on to an SR is ANY different than the placement of that on a KA?

I want to get a 3" catback now and then when i swap still be able to use it. Thanks for any replies!

i don't think there are any compatability issues between the exhausts. as long as it says "for 240SX", it should work for both engines.

any s13 cat back will fit any s13. likewise with s14s. not sure about downpipes. not sure about the DPs but i think there is some difference.

I was just wondering that if I get a ex: HKS catback now 3" piping and later swap SR/RB or w/e if the DP flange will end right where (considering the use of a cat or testpipe) the stock KA header does.....

I would suggest going a 2.5" for the KA and a 3" for the SD to accomodate for the turbo difference....

check it guys- I have plenty of turbo experience and I am going 3" for the xhaust as I will be going turbo very soon. This is not my dilema.

What I am asking is if a catback installed on a KA will also work when I swap motors and put my DP and test pipe on-- will the flanges match up? or at the least, will they be near eachother, so if they dont match PERFECTLY i can cut and reweld them?
