KA speed sensor in rb20

so of course i pull the old cable one out yesterday, drain the fluid, go to install the ka24 speed sensor and it dosen;t want to fit? i've looked them over and they both look identical except for the ka gears seem to be twisted at a little more of a angle than the rb one. im sure plenty of you have swaped these in to get your speedo to work... is there something im missing?

sounds like you have a speed sensor from an auto ka if its too large to fit.if you have a manual sensor it should pop right in, you might need to use a bit of gear oil to help it slide in but it will go in.
